I was that three-year-old who used up all the paper at daycare. I didn’t mean to, I just LOVED coloring. In first grade, I wrote my first poem, “Good Snow,” and after starting piano lessons a year later, it only made sense for me to start writing songs, too. I always knew I was an imaginative and inspired soul.
During college (Elmira College ’17), my passion for art grew tremendously. While minoring in the subject, I used art to investigate my story and communicate honestly. Having a place to safely explore themes like identity and control is important to me, which is why art continues to be a part of my life.
Each one of us is important and each one of us has a story. The emotion within our stories is what connects us. With my work, I hope to ignite the emotional connections that fuel our bond as a human race, reminding myself and others that we are not alone in the feelings we experience.
